Ambitious AmaZulu have announced the acquisition of Phakhamani Mahlambi and Veli Mothwa.

The two, joined Usuthu on the PSL deadline day, Mahlambi switching from Mamelodi Sundowns on loan.

Mothwa, the highly-rated goalkeeper, has left Chippa United to join the KwaZulu-Natal outfit permanently.

Under the new ownership of Sandile Zungu, AmaZulu have been aggressive in the transfer market, recruiting the likes of Siphiwe Tshabalala, Luvuyo Memela and Augustine Mulenga.

Unveiling the two, Zungu explained that they were not done with their recruitment drive as they chase a top-four spot in the DStv Premiership.
